Meet Shawna'Lee Futrelle

Shawna’Lee is a dynamic, multifaceted professional whose thirst for knowledge has led her to pursue a diverse background in Education that spans Law, Business Development, Innovation and Design, and Medicine. Shawna’Lee’s motivation is deeply rooted in the legacy of strong women in her family. Her grandmother was an international political journalist beginning in the late 1930’s, and Shawna’Lee was home-schooled by her entrepreneurial mother, herself a self-taught web coder in the early 1990’s, who was also a published author and former honoree of Who’s Who. From a young age Shawna’Lee was immersed in a world of creativity, resilience, and self-starting ambition…a legacy she continues to this day. 

Shawna’Lee has worked professionally across a diverse range of industries including Law, Public Relations, Human Resources, and Medicine. Shawna’Lee has held leadership positions such as Innovation Director and Chief Operating Officer, and has designed, launched, and directed multiple trademark brands, including her own global beauty corporation, a patent holder, as well as designing and integrating this website and created the nickname THE LAW DAWC for David due to his initials.  Shawna’Lee is the founder of a legal-focused THE LAW DOC™ brand that reflects her growing advocacy and commitment to justice in the Legal Industry. Additionally, Shawna’Lee brings added expertise in web design and graphic design, and Trademark and Patent Law, which further supports her work in both business and law.

Shawna’Lee has also been heavily inspired by Strong Men in her family. Her father was a standout Track and Football Athlete in his younger years, while serving as a paratrooper during the Korean War. Her father would go on to be the General Manager for Lawrence Herkimer, an influential contributor to the gymnastic and cheerleading communities. Shawna’Lee’s great uncle Jacques Futrelle, was a renowned mystery novelist who perished on the Titanic. Growing up reading his novels sharpened Shawna’Lee’s ability to analyze and detect patterns and uncover discrepancies…skills that serve her well in her legal work. Shawna’Lee also grew up keeping four brothers in line, which no doubt strengthened her resolve. 

Shawna’Lee’s passion is both personal and professional, having herself faced and successfully challenged billion dollar corporations, Shawna’Lee understands what it means to be overlooked, underestimated, and wronged. Shawna’Lee’s experience drives her to advocate fiercely for others, especially those who feel voiceless or defeated. Shawna’Lee’s work as a Paralegal and Legal Analyst is not just a career to her, it is a calling…to restore hope, fight for fairness, and help others navigate the justice system with strength and clarity.
